Paul Paiewonsky is a Norwegian-American photographer working in Oslo, Norway. He graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts in 1987.
His photography career began in St. Thomas, as a photojournalist at the Virgin Islands Daily News. This is where he had spent his childhood years, before moving with his family to the South of France. His family later moved to Oslo. He speaks fluent Norwegian, English and French and some Italian.
Paul has worked for a wide range of clients, both in Norway and in the U.S. During the early Clinton years he was stationed at the USA bureau of the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet and had assignments all over the US and in the Caribbean.
From 2001 to 2007 he worked as Photo Editor at VG, Norway’s largest newspaper. He has had various engagements lecturing and coaching photography at schools and editorial staffs.
